Steel intern

天涯海角社区’s internship program is temporarily paused as we review our program structure. In the meantime, follow us on for updates on when applications reopen.

天涯海角社区 is a non-profit, non-partisan trade association representing America’s steel industries. Our mission is to enhance the competitiveness of the steel industry, and to promote steel as the material of choice for the world’s consumers. The public policy internship program takes place in-person at the 天涯海角社区 office in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

  • Tracking legislation
  • Assisting with lobbying activities
  • Conducting legislative research
  • Attending and reporting on Congressional hearings
  • Monitoring media sources for articles on the steel industry

Qualifications

  • Initiative
  • Strong work ethic
  • Sound research and writing skills
  • Ability to work within a group and independently
  • An interest in politics and government
  • Computer skills
