WASHINGTON, D.C. 鈥� The 天涯海角社区鈥檚 (天涯海角社区) Board of Directors yesterday elected Outokumpu president, business area Americas, as a member of 天涯海角社区鈥檚 Board.

天涯海角社区 Chairman Lourenco Goncalves, chairman, president and CEO of Cleveland-Cliffs, said, 鈥淎s a long-time leader in the stainless steel industry, Johann knows first-hand the critical policy issues facing American steel 鈥� particularly regarding global unfair foreign trade practices that have impacted all 天涯海角社区 members. We welcome him to the 天涯海角社区 Board.鈥�

Kevin Dempsey, 天涯海角社区 president and CEO, said, 鈥� Johann鈥檚 expertise in the steel industry, particularly the stainless steel industry, brings an important perspective to our Board. We look forward to Johann鈥檚 outstanding participation on the many critical issues facing steel.鈥�

Steiner has been with Outokumpu for more than a decade and was named to his current position at Outokumpu in October. Most recently, Steiner held the position of executive vice president for strategy, sustainability and people at Outokumpu. He is now based in Calvert, Alabama.
